Planting Season is Here!
Cooler weather and rain are finally on the way—it’s the perfect time to start planting native plants! 🌧️🌱
Native plants are species that grew in a region before the arrival of Europeans and co-evolved with local animals and fungi, providing essential food sources for native wildlife. Without these plants, native insects struggle to survive, triggering a ripple effect that diminishes the food supply for birds, reptiles, amphibians, and mammals. Unfortunately, the Inland Empire is experiencing a significant loss of biodiversity due to development, invasive species, and climate change. You can help reverse this trend by creating habitat for local wildlife by incorporating native plants in your own yard!
